Mr. Ramey is a founding partner at Ramey Litigation Group and brings experience in accounting and corporate business management.  Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Ramey was the chief financial officer of a corporate conglomerate with subsidiaries in finance, a business operations consultant with a foreign corporation, co-owner/manager of a small business, and a computer programmer.   

Though the firm does not provide tax advice, Mr. Ramey is a former registered California Tax Preparer.  Mr. Ramey has previously served as member of the Alpine Planning Group (a regional division of the San Diego County Department of Planning and Land Use).    

Mr. Ramey is admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. (Federal) District Court in the 9th Circuit.

In addition to his involvement in the firm, Mr. Ramey serves as adjunct professor of law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and instructor at the University of California at San Diego.

Mr. Ramey is distinguished in his service as personal assistant to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, intern to San Diego Superior Court judges, recipient of the State Bar of California pro bono honors award, and recipient of the Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Alpine Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Ramey received his undergraduate degree from Carson-Newman University, and his juris doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  While studying in France, Mr. Ramey served as Assistant to the Director for the International Conference on Comparative Constitutional Law, and Assistant to the Director for the International Conference on World Trade Law Evolution (at Faculté de Droit et des Sciences Économiques through Hofstra University School of Law).

Mr. Ramey enjoys boating and traveling.  Mr. Ramey also enjoys volunteering in various community outreach and public service programs providing services for the underprivileged and elderly.


-- Revised and drafted various Probate rules in the San Diego Superior Court Local Rules under the direction of the Honorable William H. Kronberger.
